Scott Gislason is a proud recipient of the Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholarship, Florida Institute of Technology Endorsement Grant, Visit Grant, & a Florida Tech Scholarship. Scott also received scholarships to Florida Atlantic University, and University of North Florida.

Rebecca received the Florida Bright Futures Medallion Scholarship,  Edwin A. Stevens Scholarship & Grant from Stevens Institute of Technology. Rebecca has been accepted to Steven Institute of Technology.

Meet our 2015 National Merit Scholarship Scholars
Bishop Verot is proud to announce that five juniors have been named  2015 National Merit scholars.  Danielle Dickey, Hannah Arcentales, Joseph Zolik, Nicolas Powell, and Ian Snow join an elite group of academically minded students from across the nation who entered the competition by taking the 2013 PSAT exam.
Matt King awarded Hillmyer-Tremont Scholariship
For the second consecutive year, Bishop Verot Catholic High School is home to a Hillmyer-Tremont scholarship winner! Five scholarships are presented to the most outstanding scholar athletes in Lee County. This year's scholarship was awarded to senior Matt King for his exemplary service to the community, dedication to hard work, and perseverance in times of difficulty. Way to go Matt!
Coach Bill Shields returns to Verot as Head Football Coach
Bishop Verot is proud to announce that Coach Bill Shields has accepted the Head Football Coaching position here at Bishop Verot. Coach Shields led the Vikings to a State Finals Game in 1990 and was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2012. We are blessed to have Coach Shields as part of the football program once again and we are looking forward to another exciting season!

Baccalaureate Reservation Deadline Approaching
This is a reminder that the deadline for reservations for the Baccalaureate Dinner is Wed., April 30th.  All reservations must be received by this date without exception. Please check out the 2014 Dates and Details for information regarding all upcoming events and graduation details. You can also find this information in the Seniors tab on the website. Please give all completed reservation forms and direct all questions to Michael Reese at michael.reese@bvhs.org.


Spring Celebration of the Arts at Bishop Verot High School
You are invited to " A Moveable Feast! "  Bishop Verot's Spring Celebration will take place on Thursday, May 1st in the Santini Center.  The Student Art Gallery will open at 5:30 pm with appetizers and refreshments and will then be followed with a Vocal and Instrumental Concert at 7:00 pm.  Reserved seating is available for families with a suggested donation of $20 per family.  Reserved seating will open at 6:30 pm, and free general seating will begin at 6:45 pm.  Please contact Maureen Steger for reservations at maureen.steger@bvhs.org or you may telephone her at 239-980-2684.  All donations will benefit the Fine and Practical Arts Department. 


Kiss A Senior Good-bye !
Key Club is once again sponsoring " Kiss a Senior Good-bye ."  With each "kiss," your senior will receive a customized bag of Hershey Kisses bundled in black or gold and topped with a big kiss label that includes your personal message.  The bags will be delivered on the seniors' last day of classes ( May 8th ).  "Lips" note cards can be picked up at the Main Office or you can print them from home.  The message cards with payment may be mailed directly to BVHS to the attention of "Key Club Kisses" or you can bring it all to the Main Office.  Bags cost $2 each.  If you have any questions, please contact Katie Davis at 239-274-6771 or email her at katie.davis@bvhs.org.


SAT / ACT Prep Class
The summer SAT / ACT Prep Class will be offered Tuesday, June 17th through Monday, June 30th. This class will be taught by Mrs. Elmeer (English) and Mrs. Gardner (Math) in rooms 280 and 230 at Bishop Verot. The cost of the class is $175 per student. GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT

AP Pre-Administration Sessions
All students enrolled in an AP class this year are required to ATTEND ONE of the two AP Pre-Administration Sessions conducted by the Guidance Office.  AP Students will be pre-gridding their first answer sheet and will receive a copy of the 2014 AP Bulletin for Students & Parents.  The AP Pre-Administration Sessions will be held on Monday, April 28th and Tuesday, April 29th immediately after school at 2:30 pm in the Cafeteria.  The sessions will end between 3:00 pm - 3:15 pm.  It is the responsibility of the student to inform coaches, moderators, parents, teachers, etc. of this obligation.  No student will be permitted to take their AP exams this year without attending one of these sessions!  Please contact Miss Barbato in Guidance with any questions.
