Transfer Student Application Process 

Bishop Verot is pleased to offer the opportunity to apply for students interested in joining the Verot family in grades  9th, 10th and 11th grades. Transfer students may be accepted for enrollment at the start of a school year or at the semester change mid-school year, depending on space availability and an academic evaluation. 

*Transfers into the 12th grade are only permitted under special circumstances such as relocation. 

2024-2025 Transfer Applicants 

Applicants wishing to transfer for the 2024-2025 school year may do so beginning with the 2nd semester in January 2025.  Acceptance will be offered on a case by case basis, with priority given to families moving from out of the area, as space becomes available, through December 2024.

2025-2026 Transfer Applicants 

We will begin evaluating out transfer applicants for possible acceptance in March 2025, once we have completed the re-enrollment process for current students and determine space availability. Students will be accepted until August 2025 as space becomes available. Please plan to have the application submitted and documentation provided no later than February 28, 2025. 

To begin the Transfer Application Process, please complete the online application. Please be sure to select the correct application for the school year you are applying to attend. There is a non-refundable $75 application fee collected at the end of the application process.

Additional Documentation required: 

• Copy of the applicant's unofficial transcripts for the past three years. These records should include credits earned and the results of standardized tests taken.
• Statement of discipline from a school administrator at the applicant's present school including the student's discipline and attendance record.
• Certificate of Birth
• Copy of the applicant's State of Florida Immunization Record* (form 680) and School Entry Physical Form*.
  • Bishop Verot does not accept Religious Exemptions for immunizations. All applicants must be fully immunized according to the State to Florida requirements. Medical Exemptions are accepted if filed with Florida Shots.  
• Admissions interviews may also be requested by the admissions committee for transfer students.

Criteria for Acceptance:

• Academic achievement 
• Standardized testing (FCAT, Iowa Test, Stanford Achievement, etc.)
• Disciplinary history
• Space availability
• Other information may be requested by the guidance/admissions office

Additional Information regarding transfer acceptance: 

• Transfer students are not eligible for financial assistance. 
• Admission is only offered at the start of a new school year or at the semester break (exceptions may be made - please contact the Admissions Office).
• Admission to the 12th grade is not permitted. Consideration under special circumstances (relocation into Southwest Florida) will require administration approval and a meeting with the applicant and his/her family prior to a decision being made.
• Admission decisions for the next school year will be made as space becomes available, through the start of the new school year.  Where space is limited, preference is given to those families transferring into the area and/or from another Catholic high school. 

Please submit all required documentation within the online application or directly to the Admissions Office. Admission decisions cannot be made until all required documents have been received.
