Withdrawal Procedures

While we hope every student who joins the Verot family thrives academically, spiritually, socially, and athletically, we also understand there are times when a student must transfer. Whether it is for a cross-country move or a change in programs, please know we consider families Vikings for life and wish them all the very best.

Regardless of the reason for withdrawal, the process must be completed in full before we can change a student's status to withdrawn and release any records.

To begin the process, please contact the Admissions Office at patty.holmes@bvhs.org. This will initiate communication with all departments to help prepare for a smooth transition.

To complete the withdrawal process, please plan to sign the Withdrawal Form (available in the Admissions Office), and complete the Withdrawal Survey, to be emailed once the process is completed. In addition, all school-issued items must be returned to the Admissions Office, including:

  • iPad (in working order/not damaged) with original case, charger, and cord
  • Yondr Pouch
  • ID Card and Lanyard
  • Parking Pass (if applicable)
  • Any other outstanding items, including any school issued athletic gear

*Items not returned or damaged will incur a charge payable prior to records released

The Finance Department will also be updating your tuition balance to reflect the withdrawal in accordance with the Student Handbook. Once the items have been returned, the withdrawal form signed, and all financial obligations are paid in full, we will suspend tuition payment plans and release final transcripts.

*Please note students withdrawing mid-year, please allow 7-10 days for the release of final records, as teachers will need to provide final withdrawal grades.

Student Withdrawal and Tuition Obligations / Refunds

Bishop Verot Catholic High School incurs costs when students withdraw after registration and has made contractual commitments based on the registrations. Amounts due for tuition and fees are calculated on quarterly basis as follows:

Withdrawal Date Amount Due
Prior to June 1 Deposit Forfeited
Between June 1 & September 1 Deposit + $500 Withdrawal Fee
Between September 2 & October 31 35% of Annual Tuition and Fees
Between November 1 & January 31 60% of Annual Tuition and Fees
Between February 1 & March 31 85% of Annual Tuition and Fees
After April 1 100% of Annual Tuition and Fees

Note: The amounts above must be paid in full or arrangements for payment of any remaining balance must be agreed to in writing by the Finance Department before any student records are released. Any amounts paid more than the above amounts will be refunded to the responsible party(s).

For calculation of the amount due the school will prorate any financial assistance awarded on the same percentage used for tuition and fees. However, in these cases, no refunds will be given for amounts paid in excess of the amount due.

School issued iPad, charger, cord, and case, along with Student ID Card, Yondr Pouch, and Parking Pass must be returned at the time of Withdrawal. Any damaged items will incur additional charges. Records will not be released until all school issued property has been returned (athletic gear) and all obligations have been met.

For any information regarding your financial obligations or payment plans, please contact the Director of Finance at 239-274-6703 or kathleen.houghton@bvhs.org

Students must complete the all Withdrawal Procedures before tuition payment plans will be terminated and official transcripts released.
