The nomination process requires a nomination form to be submitted to the Hall of Fame Committee.

Nomination Criteria

Nomination and Selection

            For eligibility in the Verot Hall of Fame, a person, group of persons, or organization must be nominated by a third party (no self-nomination), with such nomination supported by two references. The nomination must include the person(s) name, affiliation to BV, and the reasons why the nominee is a good candidate for induction into the Verot Hall of  Fame. Nominations must be submitted in writing by no later than January 31, 2020. To be inducted into the Verot Hall of Fame, a nominee must receive no less than a 75% affirmative vote of the members of the Verot Hall of Fame Committee. Current Hall of Fame Committee members and members of their immediate family are not eligible for nomination or induction, while the Committee member is actively serving on the Hall of Fame Committee.

Categories and Criteria for Nominees

            The following criteria shall act as a guide for the evaluation, vetting, and selection of Hall of Fame inductees. The following criteria are meant to be advisory only, and each Hall of Fame Committee Member is free to give greater or lesser weight to each criterion when making their evaluation and vetting. This list is non-exhaustive and may be supplemented by other special attributes, considerations, and qualifications of a Hall of Fame candidate not listed below.

Graduate

  • Ten (10) years removed from graduation
  • Academic/Athletic/Extra-Curricular Accomplishments while at BV
  • Post-graduate activities/awards/accolades
  • Achievements in professional vocation or occupation
  • Post-graduate interaction, contribution, and service to Bishop Verot Community
  • Professional reputation
  • Character/Integrity/BV Values
  • Contribution, service, and impact to nominee’s local community

Teacher/Administrator

  • Years of service to BV
  • Achievements/awards/accolades while employed at BV
  • Pre or post-employment achievements/awards/accolades
  • Accomplishments/honors in any other professional capacity/field of study
  • Impact and contribution to the BV Community
  • Character/Integrity/BV Values
  • Contribution, service, and impact to nominee’s local community

Benefactor

  • Relationship/affiliation to BV Community
  • Service and contribution to BV Community
  • Character/Integrity/BV Values
  • Contribution, service, and impact to nominee’s local community
