Surfers vs. Bikers

The TWIRP dance (a Sadie Hawkins style dance) is taking place in the Gym on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

 

Please make sure to read the following information carefully before coming to the dance. Please note this event is for Bishop Verot students only. You will not be permitted to enter the dance if you arrive after 7:30 p.m. and you will not be permitted to leave early from the dance. 

 

As with any school-sponsored dance, students are expected to dance in a manner that is appropriate. The guidelines set forth are that any style of dancing that is overtly sexual in nature is prohibited. Dancers must remain face to face, not front to back and feet on the floor. It is our hope that every student can have a pleasant experience at TWIRP.

2025 TWIRP Dress Code

Ladies

 

  • NO LARGE PROPS like MOTORCYCLES OR SURFBOARDS. Small wearable rafts are ok.
  • NO VISIBLE BIKINI/BATHING SUIT TOPS and BOTTOMS.
  • No white bottoms (shorts, skirts, pants, etc.). Your under garments must not be visible. 
  • Any top that is see-through white or made of a material that one might be able to see through MUST have a full-length top underneath (tank, camisole, etc.). 
  • Your midriff must be covered. 
  • No excessively tight clothing.
  • No excessively ripped jeans or rips in high/inappropriate places.
  • No skirts or dresses without biker shorts underneath.
  • Dresses, “skorts”, or skirts must be fingertip length.
  • No biker shorts (unless under a skirt or dress).
  • No short shorts (must be knuckle length).
  • Leggings are ok, cannot be leather/pleather material.
  • No cleavage showing or immodest tops (immodest neckline, sheer, off the shoulder).
  • No props or clothing that advertises or depicts tobacco, alcohol, drugs, obscene language, sexual innuendo, or anything else that is deemed offensive.
  • No spaghetti straps, single strap, or strapless tops. Straps must be at least 3 inches wide.
  • No visible tattoos or piercings other than earrings.
  • No weapon-like objects as props.
  • Hats are permitted. 

Gentlemen

 

  • NO LARGE PROPS like MOTORCYCLES OR SURFBOARDS. Small wearable rafts are ok.
  • NO SHORT SHORTS INCLUDING BATHING SUIT BOTTOMS (underwear must not be visible, shorts not shorter than 3 inches above the knee). 
  • No spiked clothing or large chains. 
  • Must be clean-shaven.
  • No earrings or visible tattoos are allowed.
  • No excessively baggy clothing.
  • No excessively ripped jeans or rips in high/inappropriate places.
  • No props or clothing that advertises or depicts tobacco, alcohol, drugs, obscene language, sexual innuendo, or anything else that is deemed offensive. 
  • No cut-out muscle t-shirts that expose the sides of your chest.
  • Your midriff, torso, and stomach must be covered. 
  • No excessively tight pants.
  • No weapon-like objects as props
  • Hats are permitted.
